Shazara Bloomfield is a certified Equine Therapist and was trained in the EAGALA model for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Personal Development (http://www.eagala.org). This method is experiential in nature, allowing individuals to learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses, and then processing feelings, behaviors, and patterns. Regardless of ones comfort level with the animal, there is always a meaningful experience to be gained, and a natural opportunity to overcome fear and develop confidence in all areas of life.
Horses are giant biofeedback tools and as they offer information, the space itself becomes a mirror and essentially a catalyst to bring about necessary changes and solutions. Horses invoke a level of emotional honesty that is not easily obtained by other means. The experience of Equine Therapy is a stealth means for healing and growth and more authentic integrated living. Sessions are available for individuals and groups.
